Here's a shot of mine. Everything, grill and fenders were NOS, purchased about 30yrs ago (when they were affordable ;)), EXCEPT the bezels! I guess they weren't available "over the counter" back then or I would've got them. And I don't recall what brand these repops were. CHQ didn't exist back then. The fit was good with only minor tweeking needed.

Garth,

I've had the CHQ's before and have a set now, they do not have the radius on the polished edge, they are flat thus, the reason I want to locate a pair of originals.  I know someone out there is hoarding them in a warehouse.  It appears that OER is making them too?  I wonder if they're any better?

I do appreciate the help guys!

Jerry

Checking out that ebay auction that ended, no bids, (reply #6) I see what you're saying about the radius. Mine are somewhat flat as well.

edit; One thing nice about shopping ebay is the photos and zoom capability. I looked at some OER and they appear the same as the other repros.

Compared to the bezels,my nos fenders were around $300 when I bought them. That rs frontend does look good with the repops.

Mine (fenders) were $210 ea, including extensions. I recall the parts guy commenting how expensive they were! :)

Mine still have the extensions wired on as I have not installed them yet.

On the bezels, I see the radius on the HBC bezels I purchased.

I wasn't aware of the radius and thank Jerry for pointing that out. My car had been in a collision prior to when I bought it. Was missing a lot of front end parts. I'd say the vast majority of RS's out there today must have repro bezels! lol

So, like Jerry, I'm on the lookout for some serviceable originals or NOS at a reasonable cost. The one on ebay is tempting, but would still need the RH side...the (MORE) expensive one at HBC. I'm in no hurry...

Also thinking about reproducing that radius in my repops.:)

Checking here to see if anyone may have an original pair of NOS rally sport head lamp bezels.  I'm trying to finish my last restoration project, a 1968 Z28 that I've known since new, and it was sold new at A.D. Anderson Chevrolet (where my '67 Z28 race car was also sold).  Anderson was the flagship performance dealer in Baltimore.  Hope to have it done for summer cruise events.  It's a factory cowl plenum car and originally like my white survivor Z28 with Kustom headers.  Only 87 Z28s got both options.

Part #3898149 and 3898150.  Any help in locating a set is greatly appreciated!

Jerry

I might have a pair of originals but they won't be NOS.  Probably can be restored.  If interested I'll try going through my storage to see if I still have them this weekend.

At some point I may need some too. I think I have 2 nearly complete grill assemblies, but not all of the parts are good. Hopefully I have enough for one full good setup.

If not, reproductions will work for me.
