trying to find any other late 68 model year changes which may have occurred as assembly was getting ready for the 1969 model. Only items that come to mind are the change in front spoiler being bolted to the front valence vs. using the braces and the hood adjustment hole. Anything else come to mind? thanks, Brad

Would someone be able to elaborate further on this comment "Only items that come to mind are the change in front spoiler being bolted to the front valence vs. using the braces"? I've searched through threads on this site and don't see any reference to a point in time where the rods weren't used on the front spoiler, versus them being used, along with the spoiler being bolted to the front valance. I've read comments about the rods being left off purposely to avoid damage to the fenders if the spoiler hits something, but nothing about the rods actually not being used as part of the installation guidelines after a certain date. Thanks

They are talking about the front spoiler being attached to the valence using a sheet metal screw VS a 1/4 - 20 bolt with a nut on the other side.
They all use the brace.

There were no braces used on the first design 68 front spoiler. Check out Chick's build thread...
