1B & H177 code on trim tag?
« on: March 08, 2022, 06:10:26 AM »
Hey group.  Somewhat of a newbie here when it comes to trim tags.  I've been reading everything I could find on the net in regards to my 69 RS 350 Camaro's trim tag, and theres a couple of codes that I cant find anywhere.  These 1B and H177 codes.  Does any of you seasoned veterans have any idea what these codes mean?  I'd really appreciate it.

The 1B is actually 01B (0 is covered by the rivet). That decodes as the second week of January. The H177 is an internal scheduling code used at the Van Nuys plant and doesn't mean much. As I get it, the H means the car was built the 8th day of the month, and 177 means it was the 177th car down the line that day.

Not really. They assigned it and used the # to move it around in the schedule.
