Painting fan shroud
« on: February 15, 2022, 12:59:02 AM »
Just finished cleaning up my 69 fan shroud, got all the overspray ,dirt and grease off of it, looks great except for some areas are discolored. Has anyone painted a fan shroud? How did it come out and what paint did you use, any other info would help too. Thanks.

Don't paint it - read this thread and look at the results from the OP -

I've restored a couple of "cheap" OE shrouds - easy to make them look like new with a little TLC -

X2 do not paint. This is what I used on our original.

Novus works well #3 and #2. Kits of #3, #2, & #1 can be purchased for under $20 on Amazon. Just used on our 67 Corvette hardtop pexiglass rear window.
