NOS Coil Springs with Part Number without 2 Letter Code

I purchased a few sets of NOS coil springs with tags but none have a 2 letter callout on the tag.

For example: The set I have here is part number 3955722

Are they correct for '69  "YP" or "YM" code or both?

Are springs with the same part number identical and the 2 letter code just to clarify application?

He's asking for the code for 3955722, right ? I don't have a 69 AIM, but the codes are listed in the 68 AIM, so I assume they were in the 69 AIM as well.  That part number isn't valid for 68.

In attempt to answer his questions:

1.  The two letter codes were for factory workers to quickly grab the correct spring for the car they were working on; not necessary for sales across the counter later.'

2.  If the Part Number is the same, then the springs SHOULD be the same as was used in production.

I would think the best explanation is that these are over-the-counter replacement springs and they would not have the two letter code like the assembly line production springs did.
The 2 letter code helped aid the assembly line workers select the correct springs.

Thank you all for your replies. I'm going to rephrase my question.

GM replacement coil springs are sold by part number and do not provide a 2 letter code on the tag like assembly line springs.

Does this mean that assembly line coil springs with identical part number but different 2 letter code are also identical?

For example is 3955722 YP an identical spring to 3955722 YM?

the RPO equipment on the dealer order.
