1969 Yenko Glass

Hopefully someone can help give some guidance on a current conundrum I’m presented. The car we are restoring is in need of glass. I’m somewhat certain most, if not all, Yenkos came with non-tinted glass. The issue is that no where I can find sells clear glass with the ability to date code it. I have seen used glass but am not sure how good it would be to try and refurbish what is out there. It seems like the only option is to purchase either clear glass and seek out someone who can etch it separately, or buy tinted glass and ride that train.

Anyone help shed some light on what you would do given the situation? Trying to put the car back right and while I dont think there’s anything to point you to the car having clear or tinted, I’m somewhere stuck in the middle lol

I would install tinted (Soft Ray) glass regardless of what it came with if I was replacing all of it!
It will protect your eyes and your interior from harmful sun uv rays (and heat)..

In my research I saw a lot of people commenting and posting about them. However most of it was all related to front and rear glass. Didn’t see much concerning the side glass.

I have a a whole set of replacement Pilkington April dated tinted

No problem with the side glass on the set that I bought.

Just got in a set of glass for the pacer - it matches contours and shapes of the originals quite precisely.

Gary is right in my opinion. Use tinted glass.
