At least one of the 1969 Camaro SS Camaro Convertibles given away in The American Scene contest still exists.  The RS/SS 350 was featured in an article by Jerry Heasley on pages 14/15 of the February 2014 edition of Muscle Car Review. 

"His father won the car in a Standard Oil scratch-off contest.  The scratch-off tickets were free with a purchase."

I thought those ads were cool as well.  The one in color is very reminiscent of the artwork in the Beatles Yellow Submarine Film.
