New Project
« on: April 28, 2021, 01:34:31 AM »
Just made a purchase of a 1969 Z28 RS that was disassembled back in the early 80's, body work completed, painted and wet sanded, but not buffed out or striped.  Completely original drivetrain, and original interior in pretty fair shape.  There are a number of parts missing (fan and clutch, driveshaft, valve covers, bumpers, to name a few), but most of the important stuff is there (matching block that is completely disassembled as well, trans, rear, and matching hidden VINs).  Just starting to categorize and clean what I have.  Car spent most of it's life in Ohio and came with Protect-O-Plate, and original owner lease agreement and some other paperwork.  Hugger Orange with black vinyl top and black standard interior.  Looking forward to help from the great sources of knowledge on this site.

Nice!

Good luck going forward.  My base ‘69 RS is also an 01C build.  Finished restoration with body and paint in 2014.

Joe,
Looks like a good project.
Sorry to tell you, but that's not the original stamping - it's a restamp.

Beautiful car, with the absolute best color combination and documentation! It looks like you have a great car to start with. I can’t wait to see your car’s progress.
