69 Master Cylinder finish
« on: March 02, 2021, 02:09:20 PM »
Just got this back from the resto shop. Does it look close to factory original 1969 GM finish / color? Seems a little glossy to me. I have found several threads on color / coating and they seem all over the place. Several different opinions. If anyone remembers or has original photos much appreciated. Thanks.

There are varying degrees of gloss... they were dipped in cheap black paint prior to machining, so the machined surfaces should have no paint.

Poor prep, cheap paint. The only ones I've seen survive are in Corvairs (since it's in the trunk).
