That was not too bad of a deal for both the buyer and seller.
The car is pretty correct as far as finishes etc, I am not sure on pinch point bolts etc however when looking at it - only thing I can't see are the radiator rails - whether they are correct, I cant see the carb numbers etc. Of course it's had style trim added - but it looks really good with it. And where you going to find a Black on Red 69 Z with it's original drive train?
all I can nit pick are a few finish issues -master cyl - paint the Arm washers and bolts -
Personally I would add and a full set of NOS ball joints and Tie rods - and find a mint original red interior or at least door panels and the car would be one of the nicer and more correct restorations.
FWIW When I look at what a car like this sells for I always look for what it would take to correct major items within the paint, stripes, then under car finishes on floors and rails which would take major disassembly to correct - this car really needs little so far as disassembly to correct.
It brings back some really good memories... I really want to take a M20 4.10 Z out and wind it to 6500 in 2nd.
