Alternator bracket
« on: December 19, 2020, 02:33:10 PM »
Was the upper alternator bracket used on 69 crossram set up a special crossram part only or did it come from the already existing GM parts supply? Also any pics or measurements anyone can provide? Thanks

Not sure off the top of my head, but looking at pictures its looks pretty closer to the outer bracket used on 67/68 Z/28's with their double upper bracket. Not sure if the bends would match up when flipping sides of the motor, but they mount in the same locations on the upper water pump bolt, but the 67/68 used a short pump where the 69 had the long and I cant recall if the boss is longer or farther out to make the bracket special.

I am pretty sure it is exclusive for a 1969 crossram.

The one shown on the engine is the one I have seen the most.
