Hey guys, can any one tell me the differences between the Original 3932472 intake and a reproduction one ?

My opinion is that the intake is an original.
IT looks to have the correct plug in the oil fill hole as well.

looks original to me as well, but I'm not sure I've ever seen a reproduction.  How long have they been making repros?  Who makes them?  and what are the issues?

I would think the date under the heat shield might give you the answer. I bought one from a dealer at a parts meet with the cover removed for viewing the date. Dealer said that was proof.

For me its always the date code Font and Format. Unfortunately on the DZ 472 you have to remove the heat shield to see it. 472s are similar to the 163s BBC from GM. First pic is a repop date code second and third are real GM.

Don't know that I have seen a repro. But I would THINK some of the difference would be in the texture of the casting. Casting procedure has changed since the originals were made.

All 3 pictures from those companies appear to be the same generic picture. I doubt that picture is of a repop intake, as it has the brake booster fitting, and heater hose fitting with what looks like coolant pitting, and it also looks like bolt head wear marks on drivers side front flange.
I would like to see 1 in person as I bet there are differences in the casting or finish.

Classic Industries/OER has been putting stuff in ads that does not exist yet for years.  You place your order and you go on their "backorder forever" program.  Once they get enough orders, they look into producing it.

It might happen some day.  The only difference you can see so far is a real one is about $650 and works while the imaginary one is $379

My thoughts too.  Often will run a generic ad posting a pic of an original. Then when it arrives at your feet it looks nothing like the pic.

Without flipping to view under the pan, I bet you'll notice a huge difference between the two when side-by-side.
