1969 side marker bezels
« on: October 17, 2020, 03:01:05 PM »
These are side marker bezels I have. The 2 on the LH side of the picture is the only front bezels I have. The others are rears. On the rears I noticed some are different. Are all of these bezels considered "assm line parts" or are some of them GM replacement? Thank you, Joe

IF you are talking about the pins being offset versus the pins on the front ones they are all like that... at least all originals are like that.
Front and rears are different.

It's in the triangle part of the casting. Some are hollow. Others are solid...Joe

I just went out to my garage to check mine.....found 3 had the hollow triangle, one solid triangle (front).  The solid triangle had a different mark in the one corner - it said "General" and I assume "Motors" underneath but its not casted clearly.  The solid triangle one has a slightly thinner ridge on the front of the bezel around the lens opening.  My car though low miles is not a survivor.  Rear quarters are original, front fenders were NOS installed in 1978.  Very possible the one front marker was replaced at some point or they could just be from different suppliers and both original.  Tried to download pics, but having trouble with it.  Joe check the thickness of the ridge the front see if you see a difference.

Thanks Jim. I'm probably over thinking this. It could be as simple as 2 manufactures. I was just looking for other input...Joe
