Where is the original factory windshield markings located on a 1967 camaro drivers side or passenger bottom corners ??

Passenger side and read from the inside (reverse lettering when viewed from the outside)

Going back to review that old thread posted by Mike S, and there was a reference by KoLecTor to a wikipedia giving the history of the Libby Owens Ford (LOF) company.   I thought I knew about LOF, and but had the mistaken impression that the Ford portion of the name was related to LOF's production of window glass for early Fords, but that is wrong...

Yes, Libby Owens glass co did supply glass for Ford's early (A-model) cars, but the 'Ford' portion of the LOF name comes 'another Ford' company that LO bought.  Libby Owens became Libby Owens Ford in 1930 when it acquired the Edward Ford Plate Glass Company.  So Ford Motor Co never owned LOF..

Read the article above; it's very interesting, and I even found out Pilkington bought the glass business from LOF (including the use of it's name) in 1986, and since 2006, Pilkington is actually owned by a Japanese Company, Nippon Sheet Glass (NSG).

Thanks to Bentley for posting the link (even if it did take me 5 yrs to read it..      (OR.. maybe I read it then, forgot it, and had to read it again today to learn it again?     If sometime in the next 5 yrs I make a similar post to this one..  someone just SLAP me.. 

PS.  Also in that old thread there was some discussion about the 'shaded' portion at the top of windshields (whether it was blue or gold or ?)..  fact:  Even since the 50's and perhaps earlier, the shaded portion has had a blue tint, most likely to eliminate the 'blue glare' from the scattered blue light in the atmosphere (which also answers the question.. 'Why is the sky blue?'...   )

Gary you may have read this recent thread at yenko.net (https://www.yenko.net/forum/showthread.php?t=161465&highlight=Pilkington) but it sounds as though Pilkington no longer does the Pilkington Classic range...... see reply 6.

I didn't know that as I seldom visit the Yenko site (I don't own a Yenko)..   or even a BaldwinMotion...   ..  in fact, I've never even wanted one.. (big blocks make great boat anchors!)..    Now a Yenko Nova with LT1 engine would be OK...

I'm sorry to hear that Pilkington Classics *may* be out of business; does anyone know that for sure by contacting them?   I thought Bill? or someone here had bought from them fairly recently?

You can allocate my BB comments to 'cid envy? or weight envy' if you like..

It sounds like the Japanese company that owns/owned Pilkington has decided to get out of that business.   Does anyone know if they have SOLD that portion of their business to another company, Or simply decided to stop the custom labeling and maybe license the LOF rights? (to Auto City or ECS or ??) .. or maybe to both those and more...

PS.  AutoCity sells most of the glass for TriFive Chevy enthusiasts ('55-57 Chevy/GM) which was LOF glass originally, and AutoCity also custom date codes the glass.

I knew you were kidding around. Just had to through it back at you I have one of each, big & small block. I like driving the big block car. It handles well even with the extra weight. My 68 still has a 302 & is also fun to drive especially since it left the factory with 4.56 gears.
It was my understanding that Pilkington lost the license to do the LOF. They're still in the glass business...Joe

Joe,  Did you read the link posted by Bentley (that I cited in my prior post)?   That gave a history of LOF, and it stated that Pilkington had bought the LOF glass business with the logo rights, and then later Pilkington was purchased by the japanese company... who would have then owned the LOF rights (that was in 2006).  It would be informative (to me at least) to know how they sold/lost the rights to LOF trademark...??
