Yes, I adjusted my old 69 Z to the specs as laid out by John and Duke. AND have adjusted my solid lifter LT1 to their modified specs as well.
The valve train is not near as noisy due to less slack thus it HAS to be easier on the head seats as well as the camshaft by allowing the valves to come to rest on the seat using the ramps by taking up the slack of the original stamped rocker arms which, IF NOT MISTAKEN, have an ACTUAL ratio of 1.37 NOT the 1.5 advertised.
Start at TDC set the two indicated and then just pull the engine over 90deg with a breaker bar... adjust the next 2 valves indicated etc etc.
