Search the site - there are several people here that can help you if I remember correctly. I've done a couple of 5045605's myself, but not as a restoration service (strictly for resale).

Looking for a 5045572 ? Here's one that looks to be a pretty decent example. The 5045605's I see online are pretty pricey even as cores.

Wondering if that foil label was added as part of the restoration. Haven't seen one dated prior to the 1969 calendar year before, and the size, location and orientation of the label seem to differ. That said, the data points used in the thread on this subject are very small, so can't draw any conclusions.

I know this is an older topic but info just for the community. Just got my wiper motor back for my Z. It was 1 notch above junk but the original to the car. Classsic Wipers, Travelers rest SC did a very nice first class job. Had to rebuild just about everything including the pump. He had original GM small parts to go back into it. Reasonable price. Did have to wait forever but well worth it.  sam@classicwipers.com.

Funny this came up but I was just searching for someone to do my 5045572 motor. I checked his website but doesn’t look like anything’s changed since 2013. I emailed him but just wondering if anyone’s had anything done recently?

I just had my 5045572 wiper motor rebuilt by Steve. He waits until he get a few and then does them all. Great job on the rivets. I think he is the only one doing these type of motors.

Download Light Image Resizer (trial usage is free for quite a few pics) - allows you to easily resize the pics to meet the site parameters. Save your originals into downloads, docs or pics, run them through and then post 'em. Easy -

Looks pretty good, don't forget the tag. Coil bracket should be zinc dichromate, labeled with GM part number, manufacturer and date of production and assembly date coded. Motor screws are new and appear to be a larger head than originals. Not being critical, just suggesting, as I don't know what your level of restoration needs are.

Steve....hope I can pick your brain since you were quick to spot these faults. While I seriously doubt anyone would open it up to look, I am one of those people that now that they know something is incorrect, it will drive me nuts. Both because its wrong, and in this case, because I was to lazy to open in up and take pics of the inside before sending it off.  So I see Heartbeat City sells the coil & bracket as a reproduction for $49 they claim are correctly plated and dated. Are they? They seem to only offer certain dates. I assume these were most likely made in batched and with my unit dated the 37th day of 1969 (Feb 6) I ok with the Jan 3rd date. Would you agree? For $50 I would just as soon replace it, if its correct. Last but not least...would you know the correct part # for the screws you believe to be incorrect?  Many thanks Bob
