I just got a couple of new harness for my 69. The color on the wires don't match the originals. Is this a common practice with them? I ordered the starter feed harness & the kickdown harness for my 1969 396. Thank you, Joe

Have you tried calling AAW support to discuss?

I will on Monday morning. Don Bock is in research & development & he will be my contact. I just looked at it today & thought I would ask if anybody else had these problems. Thank you, Joe

I contacted American Autowire this morning & what was told to me was they make the harness to fit a couple of years or design changes as they have happened. In my case the wires for the wiper motor & washer pump are yellow on my car where theirs are black with a yellow tracer. Also on my car there is a white cloth covered primary wire going to the starter & theirs has a yellow wire. Theses were design changes throughout the year.
They will built the harness to your specs also so I did get my answer. Very nice people to work with. The white cloth covered wire isn't available to them so I had Rhode Island Wiring send them a piece to do the job. Thanks for all that are reading along....Joe

Very interesting Joe, surprised the wiring changed colour during production. Which version does the wiring diagram in the AIM show?
