That's helpful confirmation. From the data, it's clear that 67 bench seat cars didn't get center belts. But 68 benches did.

I spent about 5 hours updating the report. Ain't html great! Or a great time sink......

Kurt,

If I understand your post correctly, you're saying that in 1968, center seat belt (ie. 3 seat belts) in the front 'bench seat camaros??   Didn't it matter what transmission/shifter was installed?   ie. with a 3-4 speed in the floor, it still had belts for a center front seat passenger?

ps.. man, if we'd known that when we were single, they would have sold lots more of them...  :)

That is why I took the center counsel out and had a nice gal make me color matching pillow to put on the hump so she could sit next to me......

I filmed Dr. Krupp back in the 1990s for a local LA TV show about the 'Solar Systems' and I remember his Camaro! Too bad, we did not get any shots of the car…Thanks for posting the article.
