VIN to add to the data base
« on: March 17, 2007, 08:54:05 PM »
  Kurt,

Here is a VIN and trim tag to add to the data base. If it is already in there will you let me know? And maybe who listed it? If I can get any history on the car that would be great.
                                    VIN   7L104942

                               Trim Tag         09D          A374
                                                  67-12637  LOS 1679
                                                   765           Y-2
                                                   E      2 LGR    3SL
                                                    5 BY

One thing if you can answer it also is the A374 on the top of the trim tag. That has something to do with the production run right? How is that decoded?
Thanks

It's not in the data base yet.  Do you have any of the drive train codes?

The A374 is just a schedule code for the LOS plant.  There really is no decode for it.

The code on the block looks like V0902MK but it's hard to read it has what looks to be the last part of the VIN number under it but its very faint. The casting number of 3892657 is on the block and I have not pulled the valve covers to check the heads. I tried to get numbers off the trans but did not see them, and I'm not sure if the rearend is orgional or not. It is a 10 bolt but has multi leaf springs and I have not been under it yet to check the codes. I will try to sometime this week of next weekend and post them.

The 10 bolt might be original.  For this time frame, it should have a 10 bolt, but all 67's had single leaf springs.  Kurt just updated the drive train info on our site: http://www.camaros.org/drivetrain.shtml  It should help you to find the codes.

Would it be possable to send me a picture of the engine pad?
