I need to purchase a installation clip kit to install the RS Door, Fender and Quarter trim. Some of the kits include 4 pieces of black foam or felt others do not. What is the purpose of this part, where does it fit and is it necessary? Thanks

I found the answer. The foam or rubber is used to keep the trim clips at each end of the door molding in place. I don't believe that to be a issue, but time will tell.
