engine compartment colors

Hi all,

is there a restoration guide that shows what gets painted from the chassis and motors parts within the engine compartment?   and what colors  ?

I have numbers matching 69 Z28, but through the years and previous owners, they painted many of the parts black and others orange, when i know they should be raw metal or black etc. 

I have heard these types of lists exist for tri 5 Chevys and stuff, I hoping there is one for my Camaro

Lots of detail pics of survivor cars here in the "original cars and details" which can assist with engine compartment. Also searches can help as topic has been discussed many times over the years but probably search for a specific area or part.
