68 subframe bushings

Going to replace all my subframe bushings soon and wanted some advice from members as to which brand they've used on their cars. Don't mind paying the dollars for quality but need some feedback as prices for sets vary quite a lot. Also, do I stick with rubber or go down the polyurethane path?

I've always heard polys will stiffen things up,but offers a harsher ride. Purpose of the car?

I went with GM replacements, HBC or Camaro Specialties, forget which vendor.matched size,appears good quality.

Ive known cars that had the poly bushings and over time, some parts of the car both inside and out start to loosen and rattle.

I've had both poly bushings and solid aluminum bushings... Not much difference between the two.

I went with Global West's solid bushings on my 69, simply because I also was installing Hotchkis (weld-in) subframe connectors and needed bushings that would last forever (replacing them again would be very hard to do).
BTW: I installed mine 8-9 years ago and have had no issues. I would do the same setup again.

Which ever you decide on, make sure to get a kit that includes ALL new hardware (bolts & washers).

So is the car together? What's the procedure for replacing these if so?

The more solid the bushing the more you feel the road. Personally I don't like harsh ride. But I understand if you like the stiffness of the suspension.
