69 Z28 with BL 3.07 non-posi axle
« on: February 19, 2019, 03:13:36 AM »
Hello, can some one shed some light on this? Researching a candidate for purchase. The axle is stamped BL 1110G2. Casting 3894860.  According to this site, a 3.07 - 12 bolt Non-posi, on a supposedly matching number Z. Is 3.07 ratio even possible on a Z? Is 12 bolt the only requirement?  VIN 124379N585908.

I saw this car on eBay as well as a couple of other sites. I didn't see anywhere, where an ad mentions original rear end. One ad mentions a 3.73 rear end, as well as the ebay ad.

Other than the caution fan sticker, it is a beautiful color.

Please include a link where they state the 3.07 rear or picture.

Nothing in writing stating the original rear end. Web listing says 3.73 posi.  I spoke with the seller's agent today on the phone and he sent me several detailed photos at my request, specifically the rear end. Attached is the rear end photo he sent me. Clearly BL 1110G2

Yes it was possible to order a Z/28 with a 3.07 axle. Great for Bonneville, nowhere else.

Does the CRG have any kind of break down for 3.07, 3.50, 3.73, and 4.10 usage for the 69 production run?

Possible, but I highly doubt that is the original axle for the car.
That's a common L48 LM1 rear.
