Jacking Instructions with N66 SS Wheels - Nov / Dec 68
« on: January 09, 2019, 02:20:28 AM »
I was wondering what jacking instructions were pasted under the trunk lid of Camaros with SS / N66 wheels built in Nov / Dec timeframe.

I know there were different instructions used after 8/69 build cars with N66 for the late 69's...

Pretty sure that they included the use of the screwdriver which was in the trunk for removal of the center caps, the Chevelle or Nova N66 jacking instructions illustrated the screw driver removal of the cap, I imagine the instructions for the Camaro were similar.  -- I searched for quite some time for a photo of an original N66 Jacking Instructions about 5 years ago.
The part number is listed in the option break down in the AIM,
The screw driver is also listed -

FWIW - Years ago when doing a history search on the screw driver part number it turns out it is the same PART NUMBER as the screwdriver provided to remove the Starburst caps for the Bolt on Wheel - N89 equipped - 67 Corvettes.

From the 1969 AIM UPC N66, the jacking instruction part numbers are:
3984091 (coupe)
3984092 (convertible)
Never seen either reproduced, although have not sought one out (don't have N66  ::)) but you may need to hunt around for a used trunk lid to see one. Don Lightfoot may be interested in making them if someone can supply a hi-res image of one?

Nope. N66 wheels were dropped as a Camaro SS option as of December 1968.

So William, what you suggest is that during the time the N66 was available (November 68),  the jacking instructions were the same as the Rally Wheel....??

Jacking instructions were coupe or convertible, with or without N65 space saver spare. Wheels didn't matter.

So were the jacking instruction sheets listed under N66 not used in production?

Why would there be an alternate jacking instructions listed with the N66,
Why would there even be an updated alternate jacking instructions with the N66 listed for when the Center Cap was changed to push on VS screw on?

There were more than just 4 jacking instructions.
N66 had 2 more, PW7/PW8 is shown with one.
