Standard 3 speed tansmissions

Has anyone ever heard of a first generation Camaro with a "bronze" or "brass" manual transmission housing?

Trans cases were either iron or aluminum.

Some of the rebuilders used to paint engines & transmissions gold. After some years, it might look brass or bronze...Joe
