Chick- “ Not sure either if used in other applications but Bentley, what is the weight and is it metal (magnet likes) or non? I had one years ago that looked the part but was not a real GM piece.”

Chick, when you say, “looked the part”, what was different? How did you determine that ball was not real?
Of the 3 I have, all weigh the exact same, all are within .003 in diameter (1.735) & non-magnetic. What are the chances I acquire 3 chrome balls over a 40 year period and they all be repop? I don’t profess to be an expert on Camaro parts, but common sense tells me the 3 I have are genuine. And Chick, I am not questioning you. I am trying to learn, and you are one authority I highly regard and defer to often. I don’t want to misrepresent my parts and I would like to know how to discern real from 80s repops.

If they are non magnetic I would bet they are potmetal, which is Zinc.

I did not measure with a micrometer but looked same size. The difference was it was heavy and since being metal a magnet would give it away. Sorry for late reply.
