I've had a heck of a time getting the correct 519 paint. Seems there are different mix codes for 519 depending on company. The guy that runs my local paint store said it's the first time he'd seen anything like it in 40 years in the business. It is definitely not like the PPG wheatland yellow code 519(too much like Daytona yellow). More like BASFs code 519 Yuma yellow.

Also, I read over on yenko site that a guy was able to obtain original sales docs on his 70 chevelle sold new at KR. He said it took some persistentance. KR is still in business, Mr Ross passed in 2017, his son Jimmy is still with the company.

Brian also send this Kenny Ross ad, which is pretty cool. 

The paint on the car in the photos appears more than good enough to get a good reading from...  That's what I'd do given the lack of certainty in the paint codes.

The 1968 in the pictures is 516 Omaha orange. Mine is 519 Dark yellow.

Coincidentally I just saw this Kenny Ross Chevrolet cap while browsing ebay..... probably much more recent than the late 60's/early 70's, and unfortunately it's used, but might be a nice display touch for a KRC-sold car.
