Lloyd,

I'm pretty sure I used Century Schoolbook when I redid my brake lever. Here is a quick mock-up of what yours would look like in that font.

As Bob said, that is Century Schoolbook.
http://rubberstamps.net (not rubberstamps.com) has the font if you want to have a custom stamp made.

Lloyd was the pictured lever from the "Brooklyn" car, or a reference photo? Just wondered about the ink stamp date versus car build date.

Hi Tim, not photos of the Brooklyn car, actually a screen grab of Skip L's 21K mile car. As for dates, Skip's car is a Norwood 4th week of 1969 build and the Julian date on the brake lever of 258 decodes to September 15 so about a 2 week date gap. I'll have to post the dates from the Brooklyn car too.

Thanks for posting the photos and for the feedback, I've been working on a build thread over at TC however the knowledge base and dialog on CRG is impressive. My build will focus on a lot of finer details.

Thanks Gary, those levers and stamps are well preserved. On my Brooklyn Z and the former 10 10 survivor the lever date stamps were "hastily applied" and not at all crisp so I'll replicate that on my build.

Do we have any information on the sequence of building up the completed rear end?

I will have to take off the my other drum and see what the date code is. Hopefully the stamp is more clear on that side. I would assume like Garys the dates should be pretty close, so my other one may be around 227, which would be spot on for the when the rear end was stamped on mine BU 0815G2. (August 15th)

Likewise for Gary's : 241 would be the same date his was stamped * BU 0829G1 (August 29th)

Seems like the ink stamp, and metal stamp should be somewhat close. probably not many original cars to get data points on this though.
