Fuse Box better connections

My 67 RS is having a slight issue with the fuses in the fuse box especially the taillight and headlight fuses. Once in a while during driving the tube fuses shift slightly and lose connection leaving my without tails or head lamps. I quick touch with my test light probe moves them over a bit and they regain contact.

Question is besides replacing the entire fuse box with a modern blade type box. How should I clean these contacts also can I place die-electric grease on the fuses?

I wound up replacing the fuse box with one that looks exact. No more problems !

Excellent I will check out that company. I am not a big wire/electrical guy so I might sub this job out. Looks basically plug and play as it seems to be a copy of the original.

I use Noalox Anti-Oxidant Electrical joint compound in all my plug connections, on all of my grounds and fuses , my customers say their lights have never been brighter...
I also use it inside column ignition switches when I refurbish them with all copper and brass contacts.

I use it on all connections where there are two metallic surfaces touching one another and transferring electricity... it prevents the build up of crystalline corrosion at the joint.
Also since using it I have not had any issue with a failed electrical connection which needed to be "wiggled"

The NOALOX is specifically for Aluminum-Aluminum, or Aluminum-copper connections... seemingly overcomes the oxidation that happens with aluminum, so it would seemingly have no positive effect on a copper-copper joint...?

You might also disconnect the wiring and soak it over night in Evaporust. It has done some amazing things with no damage to paint and finishes in my experience.

It does not state on the bottle anything regarding Aluminum for or against.
IT STATES coat wire and fill contact surfaces of connector, wipe off excess ~ PROMOTES GOOD GROUND CONTINUITY~

Maybe it is Aluminum exclusive, however I have had NO issues with ANY electrical Gremlins - NOT INSIDE SWITCHES or ELSEWHERE since I began using it 8 years ago... NONE. Never had to wiggle a connection retighten a ground etc. I have introduced several restorers to the product and they said that they use it without fail as well.
It is a gray paste with a slight texture to it.

FWIW the original battery cables are copper plated aluminum NOT SOLID COPPER... there is yellow printing on the cable stating such.

I've never used it, but after firstgenaddict posted the endorsement, I checked it out.   The product label I referenced of Ideal NOALOX stated:   "Noalox  Anti-Oxidation Joint Compoiund, Aluminum to Aluminum connections, Aluminum to Copper connections, and aluminum conduit joints"

Seems pretty clear that it is designed to help minimize or eliminate aluminum oxidation, which is a real problem with aluminum electrical connections!   If I recall correctly, the large bulkhead connector thru the firewall of our Camaros has aluminum connectors??   and it would certainly not harm non-aluminum connections!  I liked your post, and I plan to purchase the product to keep on my shelf!

It is specifically the connection of the fuse holders themselves. It wouldn't really be possible. I got a small wire brush in there to clean the contacts a bit but after a long cruise the one tail fuse still moves around. Winter project is a new box.

If you remove the box and split it, you can then use a small screwdriver to pry the tab in order to push the fuse holders out of back of the fuse box.
