What does this vin code mean with the M . 124379M511354 should that be a N ?

Appears to be a typo. I think a 5th grader write some of those descriptions.

Look close at the tag.

Wished it was closer. It would be a nice way to spend Saturday and you might get lucky. There is enough that the guys with itchy bucks may stop bidding and really not nice enough for flippers.

If I were many years younger, and didn't already have TOO MANY cars...  I'd be up there checking out those cars!  :)

Looks like mostly made-over junk.

The turquoise Z/28 looks to be converted to RS: no back-up lamps or drip rail trim. Tag shows a silver car with black standard interior; now has black hounds tooth. NOM.

The orange RS also used to be silver; tag was foolishly altered. Lots of missing parts. NOM.

SS coupe is probably not worth restoring.

In my experience with these, if there was anything really valuable it was long gone by the time the auction was established. The auctioneers get to peddle the left-overs. Worth having a look though.
Learning more and more about less and less...

The 71 LT1 Vette in white over Tan could be a winner... along with the 1972 Z28 - Flame orange black stripes without a spoiler appears to be a solid 2nd Gen Z28 in original paint WITH all original sheet metal, looks like the TCS solenoid is there but shifter is wrong.
The poor Z28 is BUMPED and BRUISED from one end to the other though.

Given that the numbers matching 4 speed Mulsanne Blue Deluxe interior 72 z28 no sale'ed @ 36k in Greensboro this weekend wonder what this project brings?

I agree James. The 72 Z28, the 57 fuelie and the 67 Vette would be the cars of most interest to me, but would of course need to check things over closely before committing.

It looks as though most of the cars were dragged out of the pole building for photos. Look at the picture backgrounds. There must be a gozillion wheels and parts. Maybe a Friday and Saturday. Unless some bigtime dealer shows and throws a lump for stuff it could be a pickers paradise. I went to a smaller one in NC a few years back and they had alternaters, carbs, and muncies on pallets sitting in the field. Bidding started crazy but by noon they were asking for starter bids. You ought to try loading a L78 complete short block into a pickup by hand. (It was a Chevelle block by the way).

Vince where is the bidding happening? Thought all these cars were scheduled to go under the hammer August 25th? Seems crazy to auction off the cars early, as they would surely draw a bigger crowd than the loose parts?

Go to their site and find Catalog & Online Bidding. I think they take bids until the auction starts on August 25th, then start the auction at the highest bid.

I looked over some of the cars this morning and the descriptions are painful to read.  I thought the orange "Z" might be one of the better camaros but it has issues.
