Thanks Paul, I have learned just a little and caught the build date and garnet red code as well but didn’t know about the interior. The link about the original dealer should be fun!

WELCOME to the CRG!

Also if you were unaware it is a super early car built in the L.A. plant. (no x codes)

I see more October and november early cars, I hardly see September built early 69's, so pretty cool.

How posting some pics for us of its current condition? :)

Austin I had Camaro 124379L502919  so would that be the 881 Camaro built before mine or since they built other types of chevys along side the Camaro in L A. would it be all cars included?

881 ahead of yours.  At the Van Nuys plant, it was the Fisher Body scheduling code that included all model cars that day, generally in consecutive order down the line.

Right. The was no intermixing of VINs just based on coming down the line.

The car is now Lemans Blue with a 454 and a 5 speed, but still has the black houndstooth interior - right?

Body scheduling code Y426 ?

As well as Fast fuel injection and rack and pinion steering. Yes it’s a y426 code. If I can figure out how to downsize my pictures I’ll post them.
