Starter question
« on: November 23, 2005, 11:08:49 PM »
I have a '68 that used to have a turbo 350. I'm replacing it with a muncie, but I'm having a starter problem. I have a 621 bellhousing with an 11" clutch on a 14" 168 tooth flywheel (same size at the old flex plate). Everything fits but the starter. It's not even close. The nose is too big for the bellhousing.  It's the original 327 with the offset starter bolt holes. Do I need a different starter? I thought all the 168 tooth starters with the offset holes where the same.

Thanks
