YS Coil Springs
« on: January 28, 2018, 12:56:40 AM »
I replaced the front springs on my 68 rs today.
Installed HA. The code on the old springs is YS.
I couldn’t find any info on them. Is this the
correct code for base 327 and manual transmission?
I believe this car was a base 327 and manual trans
from the factory. Thanks in advance.

Depends on your other options. There are 68 spring table charts at this link.

Go to the section on Spring Usage Tables

Here is page 1

Awesome chart. I’m seeing YS springs as part of F41.
My 68 has speedo piercing for Saginaw transmission
So it could have come with Base 327 or L30?
The man I purchased car from did say he stripped
The 12 bolt rear end.

If it had a 12 bolt originally, it was probably an L30 car.

More on the L30 at this link.
