I retract my previous statement about it being a L48.  Looks like you have very positive signs of it being a Z.  Congrats.

I was thinking of posting why? Not much car left. But now I would bet on the Z idea, great options and colors.

Pretty excited in that this will be my 14th gen 1 Camaro, and will be really the first Z28.  (only other real one was a 99 with an LS6 transplant)

You might want to run the last 6 or last 8 of the vin in the search here. You never know, somebody might have the engine or trans from it...Joe

I've done that almost daily here and ebay, google, other forums, CL, etc...  Hoping the Orphan pages will come thru for me someday!

I read your feature story the other day.  Very cool and I love the long time stories.  I have a 59 Corvette I've had since December 1974.

Yes, that was a real incentive for me.  The stats say only 5% of all 68s had a red interior.  Assuming any degree of "linearality" to that applied to RS Z28s with Z87 there won't be too many similar cars any place I go.

The rarest Camaro I've had in the past was this 68 with cruise control.

Yep. As I suspected. Like I said, that steering wheel emblem was the tip off.

I kept thinking about your post from Jan 17 and knew you'd like this update.  :)

Yeah, I saw your seat belt post in Gilmore. They look great.

It will be fun to watch them both come together. Mine will be slow, have a lot of other projects going on as well.   What will be your exterior color?
