1969 mach1 riverside pace car Indian fire red
« on: December 30, 2017, 07:27:27 PM »
Hello I was wondering if anyone can help me get pics or info on a 1969 mach1 that might have been used as a pace car at the riverside raceway in California?
I am helping a friend who bought a mach1 with a decal that says an official pace car for the riverside race track.
Any help or pics would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

The pace car for the 1969 Riverside Trans-Am race was a '69 Camaro SS. I don't know if they used a Mustang for another event at Riverside that year or not.

There was a guy on the Camaro Pace cars web site that seemed to have lots of photos or knew where to look.  You could always try contacting the track or the sponsors of the race and see what they have in their archives

Ya the track has been flattened and turned into a shopping mall. They had a museum but that is now closed.
