In case the picture is ever lost, to further clarify these LOS tags, since in 67 they used similar body numbers for each of the four possible body/interior type combos and both need to be considered:

67 12437 LOS 18146  coupe standard interior
67 12437 LOS 1271  coupe standard interior
67 12437 LOS 22466  coupe standard interior
68 22637 LOS 53 Firebird

Out of ignorance and curiosity..... These tags are all over ebay from time to time and nearly always from LOS cars.
I guess I'm curious why?  Did LOS produce exponentially more vehicles than NOR or are they all for sale from the California area or ???

Chris, approximately 75% of first gen Camaros were assembled at Norwood. More here: http://www.camaros.org/geninfo.shtml#Where

Thx ZLP, in my mind if LOS only produced 25% of all camaros roughly that makes me wonder even more why all the tags for sale seem to be LOS tags.

I also saw that chart for " end of month production and vin" that's pretty coo. I had not ever seen that. Naturally I tried to find my vin.   8N467701 it falls in a weird spot for my July second week car? Ncrs paper says July 10th and by the  chart it should be a May or June car if I'm figuring it correctly? Is that possible or normal?

Please read the caveats *before* that table.
I put an * right before the data applicable to your car.  Maybe I need to bold it too? Lots of people don't read the notes....

Lol no you don't have to hold it.... I read it but in my mind I'm trying to understand it.  I'm not sure I understand why it might be off by nearly 6 to 8 weeks. It almost makes me think my cars tampered with is all.

I have a few LOS/VN tags that I collected in the 90's while walking through the California junk yards. The kind of junk yards where you pay a fee to enter, then pick your own parts. They still had some of these cars before everyone decided every car was worth restoring.

Not sure about other states, maybe you are not free to roam and scavenge tags, or the Camaro's were junked long before tags became a thing to collect?

68 ragtop, we have or at least had lots of pick your part type yards in texas, my point is if you look on ebay or craigslist and come across tags for sale the LOS tags are more often what you see, rather than NOR tags..... my question is if the LOS only accounts for roughly 25% of total camaro production and NOR the other 75%  it seems you'd see more  NOR tags!    its just an observation and i'm just curious why that is?  it doesn't matter just was curious if there was a probable reason for this or it just is what it is. lol

Puress, i'm not exactly sure what your saying, my car definitely is 8n467701. according to the tag on the dash and the title, but it could be fake?

Are you thinking 1969 model year? 1968 Norwood VIN sequence numbers were 3xxxxx or 4xxxxx.
