How did the weekend go? Good passes?

Well...  After my truck broke down on Thursday on the way home from work.  Then the trailer I was gonna use got a flat then no spare.  Got a spare and the wheel studs felt like they were gonna break so I said screw it.  Friday morning I got my truck fixed my wife asked what I was gonna do and I said Im not going..  lol  She said; quit being a titty baby and throw the drag radials in the back seat get the tools and jack in the trunk and drive the damn thing..  Needless to say I am a lucky guy to have a woman like that..  After driving through a rain storm I finally got up to Beech Bend.  They had already called the event but one of the sponsors told us to hang loose as he wanted to get some passes in on their car..  So after about 1 of waiting my made some hits..  I absolutely sucked it.  But I had a blast and I have some things to work on for next year.

Enjoy the videos, talk smack or make fun of my short comings..  But remember I was the ONLY car that drove 70 plus miles up to the track in the rain.  RACED.  And drove another 70 miles back home after the banquet.

Cant make it out, what kind of times was the black nova cutting? 

Anytime you dont break is a good weekend at the strip, lol. Next year brother, think i'd enjoy a weekend like that with Z. Was just talking to my wife today about it. More of a fun run event i gather? I mean they would let me run with after market axels? Drive shaft loop?  Doesn't have to be out of the box factory?  Used to have a Muscle Car Nats at Norwalk many years ago, good event. Still had to pass tech.

I wish I'd gone, if only to see all the Novas, Camaros, Chevelles, etc..  sitting in the NCM...

I'll be up there in 2 weeks and out at Beech Bend for the TriFive Nationals.  We're expecting around 3000 '55, 56, 57 Chevys..  including some 7-second drag '57's..   and I'll probably be back on Labor Day weekend for the Corvette Reunion...

Nova was in the low 13's when he wasnt missing 4th.  It has some 90s in it with a better tire.  Its a run what you brung style event.  You have everything from a bone stock Yenko Camaro to the Rambler Scrambler bustin' out 9.20's.  Its basically a test n tune then "normally" they would have had the COPO Pete Shootout (bracket style) but the weather messed it up so it was just run until you are done.  Tech..  Just go by NHRA safety regs for your ET but the event isn't a stickler.  Head over to www.yenko.net down towards the bottom of the page under Supercar Reunion.  Several threads there.  Also helps if you have a username and login.
