Caveat Emptor...beware the carefully worded ad again
« on: June 13, 2017, 03:18:34 PM »
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Chevrolet-Camaro-Z-28-/263034738751?hash=item3d3e17983f:g:vKcAAOSwFJBZPz~X&vxp=mtr

124379N604072

From the ad:

MATCHING # DZ 302,  FRESH 500 MILES   BACK BLOCK: 3970010  COWL READS: 9N604072
FRONT STAMP PAD READS: 19N604072     V1015DZ

N604072 was final-assembled on or about Monday, Feb 24, 1969. The '010' block entered production early April 1969 so the engine was assembled October 15, 1969. That's 233 days after the car was built. The VIN wouldn't be on the pad; the real one would be on the side of the block.

Implied but not stated. Not the original engine.

DONT LET THIS ONE GET AWAY!!! SERIOUS BUYERS, NO GAMES

I'd say the games have already begun.

Maybe not so rare anymore.  I had to tell my son (who's looking) that there are more of those cars now, out there, than GM built.

Wasn't "There's a sucker born every minute" attributed to P.T. Barnum ?

Lately and increasingly true -

Dug a bit deeper. While that quote is attributed to President Lincoln, the phrase was not in the speech text printed in a newspaper the next day.

Origin unknown but remains true.
