1967 convertible top manuals - which one is correct
« on: May 23, 2017, 08:25:49 PM »
I'm looking at several different variations of the 1967 GM convertible folding top manual and I wonder which one is correct for a late Nov. 66 car?  I have seen a green, blue and red one.  Also what about editions, does anyone know if there were multiple editions?  Thanks.

I have the gold/blue cover version. It is p/n #4228124, noted first edition.

Just wondering, were there different versions for power versus manual top, or was everything covered in one pamphlet?

Here is a Blue One (listed as p/n # 4228124 - http://www.ebay.com/itm/1967-Chevy-Convertible-Top-Owners-Manual-Malibu-Chevelle-SS-Impala-Corvair-Monza-/162521888633?hash=item25d70f3779:g:4VMAAOSwoudW8rzL&vxp=mtr

Here is a Red One (p/n # 7782010) - http://www.ebay.com/itm/1967-Pontiac-Firebird-Convertible-Top-Operations-Care-Manual-Factory-GM-Orig-/191913948667?hash=item2caef675fb:g:wAwAAOSw-KFXepQC&vxp=mtr

Here is a Green One (listed as p/n/ # 4228124 First Edition) (I know that the ebay ad says this is for manually operated tops but I believe that is a mistake because I believe all of the top booklets cover the operation and care of both manual and power convertible tops) -  http://www.ebay.com/itm/1967-Camaro-SS-Convertible-Top-Manual-Factory-GM-Original-for-Manual-Operated-/201293275589?hash=item2ede03a1c5:g:8OYAAOSwEeFU6heS&vxp=mtr

Thanks for all of your help!

Looking at the 67 AIM, UPC 0 Sheet C1 Miscellaneous Shipping List, it shows just one part number 7792010 Booklet-Fldg Top Instr.  Would they have been using older/other stock p/n 4228124 in the early cars, or that page of the AIM later revised?  But the booklet indicates the 1967 model year, so you wouldn't think there would be any old stock to use up first.  And I don't see anything indicated down in the bottom right revisions box.
