Exhaust
« on: March 06, 2017, 03:52:59 PM »
Hi everyone! I would like to replace the stock mufflers on my 2011 Chevrolet Camaro. I am currently checking out 4wheelonline's collection and I am now considering to go for a Borla performance exhaust. Is it a good choice?

Not sure your going to get much response on here, since this is a first gen forum. I would suggest :
https://www.facebook.com/groups/906047229417933/

Which is the Facebook page for 5th gen camaros. Many guys on there have swapped out their exhaust and have posted video of the sound and sometimes dyno results.

There are a few members on here with a 5th gen, but we discuss them on other forums since this is a first gen site. You could also try TeamCamaro

Good luck

I have SLP's loudmouth 1 on my 14 SS, has a nice growl under acceleration but not real noisy in the car for everyday use. Any aftermarket setup is better than stock. those factory mufflers are 40+lbs a piece.

I do not believe you will get any significant measurable increase in performance from switching the 2011 mufflers from stock.  You will change the sound but might actually loose some power.  These 5th gen Camaro exhausts were heavily engineered for sound and low restriction.  The "mufflers" are like empty metal suitcases inside.

Removing the cats might help power if you take them off.  Car will smell worse but maybe that is not an issue for you?
