Neat car.. :)     Was 'Matador Red' the actual original color for the Camaro??   I didn't think Chevrolet used Matador red after the late 50's.. (or at least the name?)...

Well....  :)..   I guess that shows how little I read '68 specs.. :)      (Is that the *same* orange-flavored red as was used in 1957??)...

Interesting car - and does the vin sequence number (101436) suggest more than 1139 CKD '68 Camaros were assembled at Antwerp, since homologated cars retained the US vin format?

Needless to say, I was surprised that GM named a '68 Camaro red as 'Matador Red', being very familiar with the '57 Chevy 'matador red', and since no one responded to my question above, I had to go answer it myself...

68 Camaro Matador red (NOT matador red!).. :)    this is Very red...

57 Chevrolet Matador Red (THIS is matador red)... :)   high orange content...

The 56 and 57 chevrolet Matador red was used on so many cars, and is still to this day in high usage, so WHY would Chevrolet use that same color name on a totally different color only 11 yrs later???
Doesn't make sense to me, but I'm old...  :)

Separate question: so I see the sunroof option, were there any other export countries that had different options not available in the U.S.? (seems I remember a 67-68 Camaro in the Philippines that had some different RS looking front end or optional trim? also no Camaro emblems)

Lastly was there a different AIM, or a supplemental that showed the details of these different options and there parts?

Austin the foreign assembly plant article states GM Suisse (Switzerland) offered the only production Camaro with a 283cu in V8.

If there were AIMs (or equivalent) for foreign factory assembly, then I suspect it would be in the language of that foreign country and controlled by GM's subsidiary in that country ...   although, as my controls professor C.D. Johnson once told my class when we complained about having to study Russian language controls papers... "The equations are all the same..." ...  :)
