Front is a fixed mast, the rear is extendable and from what I have read, fixed mast was am/FM and the extendable was am only.  But I'm not the official word on this.

The AM mast is the same (P/N 3876412) for front and rear, but the bezel and a few other parts are different. Check your 1967 AIM for more info.

Thanks for the picture, however the antenna base in the picture looks different from what I thought it was supposed to look like, is a 68 different from a 67

No, both years used the same parts.

No, I don't have many cars with U73, but maybe these two will help. Notice how they appear to be slightly different and it may be because antennas had multiple suppliers.

Yes spoiler was added.. And Ed that last pic you just posted has the antenna in the wrong location.

This one appears to be correct and almost looks like the mast is bent..?.  Interesting..

I have the rear antenna (AM) on my 67 convertible. It stands with a very slight pitch backwards when viewed from the side and the mast is supposed to have about a 6 degree tilt when facing the rear of it and looking forward. Let me take a picture of it.

Actually Darrell, if you look at the AIM (see attached), that's the only car in this thread with the antenna in the semi-correct location!!! The fore/aft hole should be approx even with the trunk gutter lip and it appears that all the other cars have it placed too far rearward.

Here's another picture of the blue car. And like the others (except for the black car), it's too far rearward. At least in comparison with the AIM. And according to the AIM, "The antenna should lean inboard approx. 4 degrees (Ref.) when viewed from front of car & stand vertically when viewed from side of car".

Darrell, do you have another picture showing where the antenna is mounted on your car in reference to the mounting location in the AIM?
