Funny looking trim tag
« on: October 21, 2016, 05:54:29 PM »
Saw this listing today:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Chevrolet-Camaro-Camaro-Z-28-/391601881064?forcerrptr=true&hash=item5b2d4a7fe8:g:Tt0AAOSwnbZYCk9Z&item=391601881064

I have never seen a 4L date code. I am guessing original tag, but mis-stamped?

Wish they would have gone back with the Rally Green paint, I would like to see all these obscure colors come back in popularity, so guys go back with there original paint colors.

8 bizillion pictures and NOT ONE of the engine pad. Typical. I'm surprised they posted a picture of the TT.

Is Darrell learning a new language...that I'm tentatively calling 'photo communicado'...  :)
That particular VIN (637177)would probably be from 'Mayday'... (or the 11th week of April?).. :)

PS.  What is the earliest known 3970010 block use??

First 010 blocks appeared before this car was assembled, first casting date of an 010 block is in the third week of April, both 010 and 618 were in use by the first week of May most were 618s but there are a few 010s intermixed at this time.

Thank you Mark for supplying a better 'first 010' block date... :)   A week or two is more than enough for an engine to have been built and supplied to a car produced on the 1st of May, if the timings were right...
