Bentley I love it, but if I saw it going down the street I would refer to it as a rat rod. The traditional hot rods to the best of my knowledge, were either chopped, or channeled, but not both. The reason being is I think you were allowed one mod for salt flat racing. Another reason was it depended on what part of the country you lived in. Stereotypically the west coast had more chopped and ran high boys, and the east coast tended to channel as whole. The variations were wide though. I have hundreds of Rod & Custom mags from the 50's and 60's, (comic book size), as well as the first Car Craft, Motor trend, Hotrod. While some of the best made the pages, there are many examples.
