parts sharing, Camaro and Nova?
« on: December 28, 2015, 12:28:52 PM »
Anybody here know of a website like this that deals with Nova's? '69's in particular.
I just bought a 69 with: SB, T350, a/c, p/s, drum brakes, bench seat, in Butternut Yellow/black vinyl top and a dark GREEN interior.
VERY original, almost NO rust, and it runs and drives.
I'm going to install a Gen V 454 and a TH400 with a 9", 4 wheel disc brakes and drive it.
BUT, for the life of me, i cannot find any pictures of BB a/c Nova.
All kinds of COPO, SYC, 427, 375/396, but no 325hp 396 w/a/c engine compartment pictures.
Maybe one of you?
Also, Camaros and a Novas are so much alike , I'm wondering about pullies and brackets and stuff.
Camaro and Nova use the same parts?
AND I've been to Team Nova, there ain't much going on there.
Any help mucho appreciated.
opinions are like wallets, some just aren't worth stealin'.

Here is a link to the 1969 Factory Assembly Manual.  Just might find a digital one by searching the internet. This is the best way to compare and look for parts.

BTW.....there are links to download a Camaro AIM on the Main Page, if you don't have one.

There was never a 396/325 hp Nova in 69 as far as I know. Only 350 or 375 hp.

Can't say that I have personally seen a 69 big block Nova with AC.

Yes many Camaro parts are similar. So as far as engine brackets, etc. they should work.

But the car won't care. You can just make whatever you use work. 😀
