value of my camaro

How does one find out what his car is worth? I have a 67 standard Conv., but the car has no documents, build sheet, protect-o-plate, or any of the stuff you guys talk about having. But, i do know the town it was bought, and i know I'm the 4th person to own it. It was a basket case when i got it, and i've done all work to it. it took ten years to finally finish it, cause of raising 3 children and not having the money to finish it in a timely manner. Infact it hung on the walls of my shop for 4 years before i started putting it together. This fall i drove it to "cruse the coast" in Mississippi, and saw that my car looks just as good, if not better that 90% of all the cars (drivers) out there. It seems to be a "numbers-matching" camaro by looking at the manufacture dates of the parts used. and 90% of the 327 moter is original. How / where can i get it appraised?

The way most folks value their car is by studying the market: What do similar cars sell for on Hemmings and other sites?  What do cars sell for at local dealers and by individiual owners in your area? Etc.
Value on the street and with an antique car dealer may not have much to do with the originality issues discussed on CRG.  They should, but lots of times they don't.  You also would have to have a great working relationship with a dealer to get a good appraisal.  After all, they want to sell your car.  I never drive my 68 when I'm going to look at cars.  The dealer will spend all their time trying to get you to let them sell it.
So, that takes you to appraisers.  Take a look at the site below.  This is not a recommendation.  I've never used them.  I'm aware of them from AACA.  They do have an appraiser in your state.

Thanks for the info. I've started looking into finding an appraiser.

 The guys in my small town are all "hotrodders", and they don't look at cars the way i do. The first thing they want to do is to make an "SS" out of the cars( they are all chevy guys). Out of all the "old" car-owners I know, I think I'm the only one that keeps the car allmost to original specs.

These guys can make a good looking car, but if you guys would see that they start with, it would blow your mind at what the car be if they would just restore it.

How true! I'm slowly but surely "reclaiming" one of those clone-rods right now.  Hang in there and make it right!
