Chevrolet Sports Department - Jean-Claude Killy
« on: November 10, 2015, 03:00:30 PM »
I found this on Ebay last week. Its a trifold of original artist sketches during the period when Killy was promoting the Camaro. I'm not sure who owned this or why it was prepared in the trifold, but I thought it was cool.

Love the pictures in Michael Lamm's book showing the '69 Z/28 that the Chevy Studio built for Jean Claude Killi.  White body with white vinyl roof with black Z stripes and black eyebrow pinstripes.  Had a ski rack mounted on the roof. Moulded-on rear spoiler and trailing fender flares. These Ebay pictures may be from a project that was never fully developed.  Cool find!

Here's a picture of Jean-Claude with a 1969 SS/RS 350 convertible.  Looks like mine only mine has spoilers and no ski rack.

I think the Jean Claude Killy Camaro's stripes were red, not black. Notice the Z/28 emblem in the grille is slightly out of position (too low).

Your Subaru is a better hill climber than the Camaro. Not at all lame.

Michael Lamm's book "The Great Camaro" has the picture Jon posted and another with a quarter view showing what looks like fender flares and mud and snow whitewall tires. The same book shows OJ Simpson posing with a 1969 SS396 convertible.
