The car (a Coupe) is still around, although in less than ideal condition. The current owner has now been informed, but did you happen to get the contact information for the seller? It would be great to reunite the car and block again!

The block and car are reunited after at least 35 years. The short block has not been apart ever, other than a couple of bearing caps and the oil pan and timing chain. The block was removed from the car when the bearing spun, and just stored all these years-never once in another car, never rebuilt, nothing. Standard bore, original pistons, original rods, original crank. Just sat all these years, waiting for today to come.

Thanks to Ed, Matt and the power of the Internet.
