Found these images of my 1st Z/28. Purchased in the summer of '69. Sold it in 1973 when the gas crisis hit. Regreted it ever since, like a lot of guys.

Hard to tell, but the top pic looks like it may still have original tires. The bottom pic has tires from the late 70's? I know I had them on a couple C3 Corvettes in the early 80's. What a cool license plate!

Here's a '69 Z at the press launch for '69 models at the GM proving grounds. I'd posted this in another thread here also in

reference to stripes carrying onto the deck lid on cars with spoilers.

Would this be a pilot car ?

That is likely N500003, a Pilot built on a '68 floor pan. No body tag. Hard to believe they sold it.

Interesting, I wonder why it took so long to get the longer spoiler considering this early model?

Does that spoiler look a bit taller than the production intent part?

Here is a Link of a early ? (D80) (NC8) 1969 Z28 LOS/VN Car with Vintage photos to add to the Mess.

Looks like they did not even paint it to the AIM also. Rear picture with a sliver view of the Back of the Spoiler.

'69 RS Z/28,interesting what's been done with the stripes ! no front bumper, grill surround blacked out, day 2 mods, could be '80s.

Here's a '69 Z, this is at Lions Drag Strip, logo on the side says "Beach City Chevrolet" where they in Long Beach,

California ? sponsored some funny cars ? Sorry for the size found this image years ago on Worthpoint, came across it clearing

some old files on my computer. Looks like spoiler delete car ?

No spoiler delete. More likely it was built before spoilers (RPO D80) were included with the 1969 Z/28 package. Prior to that they were optional for 68-69.

Yes, Beach City Chevrolet was located in Long Beach, CA.
