Rear upper shock mount (weld in)

Would one (or more...) of you mind posting a couple pics showing where the welds were on the rear upper shock mount? I need to weld mine back in, but my pictures of that area weren't detailed enough to see where the welds were. I want to paint my trunk, but I can't until I get those mounted.

Thanks Paul. I saw those. Unfortunately I can't tell how it's welded from those pics. Is a bead going all the way around or is it tacked in a few spots? Mine seemed to have been tacked in originally.

Come on now guys... Just a good pic of the welds on the shock tower please.  Paul posted Danny's awesome pic, but the shadows and the angle make it so I can't quite get what I'm looking for. Do the welds go all the way around or is tacked?

Look where there are 2 small dark spots on each piece, that is a spot weld. Looks to be @ 2 o'clock and 7 or 4 & 10. Did I bail ya out?

That's what you get living in the 'rust belt'. Fortunately, these are not off of one of my beloved cars, just a rotten parts car,lol.
and if you think that looks bad, I have seen 'em without a shock tower at all from rust.

Ko-lek-tor's pictures show the same location of the spot welds as mine had (although mine were not as ugly  ;D).  I believe (and I may be wrong) the reason for the welds was not structural but was to position the plates and keep them from moving during assembly.

Perfect Bentley. Thanks! That makes sense, I remember now when I was pulling them off my shock towers that I thought a nudge with a chisel would just pop them off. All it ended up doing was ripping the sheet metal. The spot welds explain why. So this makes things a little easier. I'll drill a couple holes in my shock tower and plug weld them on.
I agree with Boston14. I think the spot welds just held the mount from moving while the shock was mounted with the bolt on mount from underneath. The bolts hold things from moving around ultimately. Really it's the up and down that needed the most holding power and not much side to side.
